It was gloomy this morning, then glorious this afternoon. Now it's raining. Word is that it will come down for an hour, then stop. So the game should start on time.
Correia on the mound as Twins try to take three of four at Boston

There's another twist to the whacky baserunning play last night in which Ryan Doumit was not given a hit but then given a hit after the game. The reversal has been overturned, so Doumit has lost his fourth hit of the game. But the Twins are trying to get the play looked at again. So that would be categorized as a restoration of the reversal, or something like that.
The play occurred in the seventh inning, with runners on first and second. Doumit hit a ball that popped in and out of Jacoby Ellsbury's glove and hit the wall before Ellsbury grabbed it (making it a hit). Josh Willingham didn't stray far off of second base. Doumit rounded first and passed Trevor Plouffe between first and second and was called out. Plouffe was eventually tagged out because he was a man without a base.
The initial ruling was a fielder's choice, with Doumit out between first and second. The Twins didn't agree with that. After the game, the play was reversed to a hit. This afternoon, the ruling was changed back to a fielder's choice. As of now, Doumit has three hits, not four. And the Twins end up with 19 hits in the 15-8 win, not 20.
But the Twins are trying to get the original reversal restored, if that makes any sense. Stay tuned.
Red Sox righthander John Lackey is making his fourth start of the season after recovering from Tommy John surgery. He's 1-2 with a 3.52 ERA, so he's been functional. Some members of the Tommy John club get it all back faster than others - Twins fans are seeing how random it can be with Mike Pelfrey.
Lackey did have a bit of a setback in his first start of the season, when he left after 41/3 innings on Apr. 6 at Toronto. The Red Sox will be careful and not push him too hard.
Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said he gave lefthander Pedro Hernandez the option of being with his family on Wednesday after it was learned that a cousin had died. But Hernandez wanted to the make the start. Hernandez tried to win for his cousin, Maira Camacho, but was knocked out after two innings. ``It just looked like he didn't have his stuff," Gardy said,. As of now, Hernandez is expected to remain in the rotation. ``Absolutely," Gardy said. Until someone tells me differently."
