CORRECTIONS

A story on Page A1 Saturday incorrectly characterized what physicists theorize about the origins of dark matter. It should have said that weakly interacting massive particles, called WIMPS, could be a type of dark matter created in connection with the Big Bang.

A review on Page E20 on Dec. 18 incorrectly described the process involved in photographer Lynn Geesaman's color images. According to gallery owner Thomas Barry, her color and focus effects are produced by darkroom and camera techniques, not computers.
