A story on Page B1 in Friday's east edition should have said that Washington County anticipates at least a $4 million budget shortfall because of reductions in state aid and declining fee revenue. Expense cuts might include job vacancies and some possible layoffs. Also, the county fell $1.47 million short in revenue in December because of cutbacks in state aid.
