CLARIFICATIONS A story on Page B1 Sunday mischaracterized the city of West St. Paul's wage and hiring freeze. The freezes were in effect until July 1.

A story on Page A6 on Saturday describing hearings related to the state government shutdown should have stated that the Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services was advocating for continued funding for short-term shelter, utility needs and emergency general assistance and not for funding for the legal services organization itself.
