A 29-year-old Corcoran man who was a passenger in a speeding vehicle driven by a driver who had been drinking died early Saturday in a crash in the west metro, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Christopher Steven Labelle was killed when he was ejected from a northbound 2003 Honda Element that veered off Hwy. 169 near Medicine Lake Drive, on the border between New Hope and Golden Valley, and rolled over several times at 2:44 a.m. Saturday. The Honda had been traveling “at high rates of speed,” the patrol said.

The driver, Abel Morara Kebasso, 29, of Seattle, Wash., was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale with noncritical injuries, the patrol said.
