•Minnesota Duluth (29-4) defeated Central Missouri State 25-18, 24-26, 21-25, 25-18, 15-6. Kate Lange, a 6-1 junior outside hitter from Hibbing, Minn., had 27 kills for the Bulldogs and only six errors on 57 attacks.
•Southwest Minnesota State swept Truman State 25-20, 25-13, 25-20. Four Mustangs had between nine and 11 kills, including Brooke Burmeister had her eight double-double of the season. She had 10 kills and 12 digs.
•Nebraska-Kearney (34-2) dominated Washburn 25-20, 25-15, 25-18 behind Ariel Krolikowski's 18 kills. She hit .457.
Two sign with U in tennisThe Gophers men's tennis team signed two players. Jeremy Lynn of Joplin, Mo., is the No. 1-rated high school player in his state. Franz Sydow plays for the Pro M Tennis Academy in The Netherlands. "Franz has enjoyed much success playing the ITF Junior circuit," Gophers coach Geoff Young said.
