Concordia (St. Paul), the five-time defending national champion, defeated Wingate (S.C.) 3-1 in the quarterfinals in the NCAA Division II volleyball tournament Thursday in Pensacola, Fla.
Concordia was led by seniors Cassie Haag with 15 kills and a .333 attack percentage and Ellie Duffy with 17 kills.
"Couldn't be more proud that we're moving on," Golden Bears coach Brady Starkey said on the team's website. "I thought we gutted out a performance against a team that was really scrappy. ... Our offense wasn't flowing as well as it normally does but we just scrapped it out."
