MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS Beverage Creations Inc., a hydration technologies corporation based in St. Paul, has entered an agreement for the assets of Encore Labs Inc., a bottling and production facility. The acquisition will allow Beverage Creations to complete its production capability and better distribute its products nationwide.

NEW PRODUCTS St. Jude Medical Inc., Little Canada, announced U.S. Food and Drug Administration and European CE Mark approvals of a 10-year battery longevity claim for the Eon neurostimulator, a rechargeable device used to treat chronic pain.

NEW BUSINESS Northfield Automation, Northfield, Minn., a maker of roll-to-roll process equipment for thin-material handling applications, has formed a subsidiary, Northfield Medimation, to provide advanced automation and robotics for applications such as cardiovascular devices and fabrication of transdermal patches, test strips and related diagnostic materials.

DEBT AND EQUITIES C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc., Eden Prairie, declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of 22 cents per share, payable April 1 to shareholders of record March 7. As of Feb. 14, there were about 170 million shares outstanding.
