MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONSGeneral Mills Inc., Golden Valley, has acquired Food Should Taste Good, a natural snack foods company based in Needham Heights, Mass. Terms were not disclosed. Food Should Taste Good will become part of Small Planet Foods, General Mills' natural and organic products business and will join the division's Cascadian Farm, Muir Glen and Larabar brands.

DEBT AND EQUITIESProto Labs Inc., Maple Plain, completed its initial public offering of 4.9 million common shares, including 645,000 shares sold in an overallotment option granted to the underwriters. All shares were offered by Proto Labs to the public at $16 a share. The gross proceeds to Proto Labs were about $79.1 million, before deducting the underwriting discounts, commissions and other expenses.
