At least two Minnesota colleges are requiring students studying in Japan to return home because of continuing concerns about safety there.

The University of Minnesota has decided that the seven students studying in Tokyo "must return home," according to an e-mail from spokesman Dan Wolter. It will allow the four students in Nagoya and Hiroshima to remain -- "barring any changes in the situation on the ground in those cities."

The U added:

Gustavus Adolphus College is bringing home its six students there.
