St. Cloud State splits with Miami

• ST. CLOUD STATE 2, MIAMI (OHIO) 1: David Morley scored at 10 minutes, 52 seconds of the third period and Ryan Faragher stopped 29 shots Saturday as the Huskies (6-1-1, 3-1-1 NCHC) defeated the RedHawks (6-3-1, 2-2) for a split of their weekend series. Morley's goal came off a Jimmy Murray pass from behind the net. Max Cook scored late in the first period for Miami before St. Cloud State tied it on Garrett Milan's goal 1:34 into the second.

• NEBRASKA OMAHA 4, NORTH DAKOTA 2: Tanner Lane broke a tie with 7:29 to go and Ryan Massa stopped 28 shots as the host Mavericks (5-4, 3-0 NCHC) handed North Dakota (2-4-1, 1-4) its fourth consecutive loss. It's UND's first four-game losing streak since December 2006. Luke Johnson and Jordan Schmaltz scored second-period goals for North Dakota before Lane put the Mavs up for good.

• MINNESOTA STATE MANKATO 1, BOWLING GREEN 0 (OT): Johnny McInnis' breakaway goal 1:11 into overtime sent the Mavericks (4-4, 2-2 WCHA) past the Falcons (5-3-2, 3-1). Cole Huggins stopped 33 shots for MSU Mankato.

• FERRIS STATE 5, BEMIDJI STATE 3: Scott Czarnowczan scored two of the four first-period goals for the Bulldogs (7-2, 4-0 WCHA) in their victory over the Beavers (3-6-1, 3-3) in Big Rapids, Mich. Markus Gerbrandt scored twice for the Beavers, who pulled within 4-3 in the second period.

• MICHIGAN TECH 3, MICHIGAN STATE 2 (OT): Alex Petan scored 3:52 into overtime to give the Huskies (3-6-1) a victory and a sweep of the Spartans (3-5) in Houghton, Mich. Michigan Tech improved to 3-0 at home this season.

• OHIO STATE 6, NIAGARA 1: Ryan Dzingel and Max McCormick each scored two goals and the host Buckeyes (6-4) capped a sweep of the Purple Eagles (1-6-1), their sixth victory in seven games.
