Thursday-next Sunday: This week's St. Paul Chamber Orchestra concerts present two slightly different programs. All four concerts will open with Mozart's Symphony No. 20 and conclude with Schubert's Second Symphony. But in the first two, conductor Scott Yoo presents "Notable Encounter," an interactive lecture demonstration intended to illuminate the symphony and enhance the listening experience. For the last two, soprano Dawn Upshaw will perform the world premiere of a new song cycle by Shawn Jaeger, a setting of texts by Wendell Berry, accompanied by clarinet, violin, mandolin and double bass, honoring bluegrass traditions. She also will sing selections from Mahler's "Des Knaben Wunderhorn." (7:30 p.m. Thu. Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 12650 Johnny Cake Ridge Road, Apple Valley; 8 p.m. Fri. Wayzata Community Church, 125 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata; 8 p.m. Sat. Ordway Center, 5th and Washington Sts., St. Paul; 2 p.m. next Sun. Ted Mann Concert Hall, University of Minnesota, 2128 4th St. S., Mpls. $12-$42. 651-291-1144, thespco.org.)
