'CARMINA BURANA'

Thursday-Sunday: It's a choral extravaganza as the Minnesota Orchestra concludes its subscription season with "Carmina Burana" in collaboration with the Minnesota Chorale. The Carl Orff cantata is a tour de force for vocalist, choir and orchestra. Less familiar, but more moving, is Igor Stravinsky's deeply spiritual "Symphony of Psalms." Also featured is the premiere of a newly revised "Now We Start the Great Round," by St. Paul composer Steve Heitzeg. Yan Pascal Tortelier conducts, with soloists Audrey Luna, soprano; Scott Ramsay, tenor; and Stephen Powell, baritone. (11 a.m. Thu., 8 p.m. Fri.-Sat., 2 p.m. Sun., Orchestra Hall, 1111 Nicollet Mall, $22-$84, 612-371-5656, minnesotaorchestra.org)
