MINNESOTA ORCHESTRA

Friday-Saturday: The band is back! Finally. The Minnesota Orchestra appears at its home hall for the first time since June 2012. This weekend's homecoming concerts welcome the orchestra back after a 16-month lockout that forced players to produce their own concerts on other stages around the Twin Cities. Stanislaw Skrowaczewski's long history with the orchestra as music director and conductor laureate makes him the perfect choice for the podium. He will lead Beethoven's third symphony (the aptly titled "Eroica") and works by Bach and Strauss. (8 p.m. Fri.-Sat. $20-$100. Orchestra Hall, 11th St. and Nicollet Mall, Mpls. 612-371-5656, www.minnesotaorchestra.org.)
