THE PARKER QUARTET

Thursday and next Sunday: The St. Paul-based Parker Quartet, busy with travel and recording projects, has two Twin Cities dates coming up. The Grammy winners, in partnership with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, will play Benjamin Britten's Quartet No. 2 in C, Opus 36, as well as music of Arvo Pärt ("Fratres") and Schubert ("Death and the Maiden"). In these concerts, violinists David McCarroll and Robin Scott will replace Karen Kim, who is on sabbatical for the 2012-13 season. The other shows in their three-part "All Hearts Listen" series are in March and May 2013. (7 p.m. Thu. at MacPhail Center, 501 S. 2nd St., Mpls., and 2 p.m. next Sun. at the Music Room, SPCO Center, 408 St. Peter St., St. Paul. $10. 651-291-1144, or www.thespco.org/parkerquartet.)
