SPCO SEASON CLOSER

Friday-next Sunday: The season's final concerts of the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, led by artistic partner Christian Zacharias, feature Robert Schumann's vibrant "Spring" Symphony, completing the SPCO's bicentennial-pegged tour of Schumann's symphonic output. The bulk of the program, however, is devoted to the fascinating C.P.E. Bach, arguably the ablest of the prolific Johann Sebastian's progeny: Zacharias solos in a D-minor Concerto for piano and strings and conducts an E-flat Sinfonia. Representing the 20th century is "Rhenish Carnival Dances" by the ill-fated Bernd Alois Zimmermann. (10:30 a.m. & 8 p.m. Fri., 8 p.m. Sat., Ordway Center, 5th and Washington Sts., St. Paul; 2 p.m. next Sun., Benson Great Hall, Bethel University, 3900 Bethel Dr., Arden Hills. $5-$59. 651-291-1144 or www.thespco.org.)
