Tuesday: Trumpet recitals are something of a rarity. So it's a special treat that the Edvard Grieg Society is presenting a recital by acclaimed Norwegian trumpeter Tine Thing Hel­seth. The 26-year-old has programmed a diverse repertoire, from selected hymns by Bach, transcribed by Ferruccio Busoni, to works by George Enescu, Paul Hindemith, Maurice Ravel, Jean Sibelius, Manuel de Falla, Kurt Weill and Ástor Piazzolla. She also features a work by contemporary Norwegian composer Geirr Tveitt. She is accompanied by pianist Bretton Brown. (7:30 p.m. Tue. $20.
