If a violin-toting German of serious mien hurtles past you in the coming days, fear not: It's probably Christian Teztlaff, en route from one gig to the next in his unprecedented 10-day Twin Cities residency. Having just played Szymanowski's lush First Concerto with the Minnesota Orchestra and Osmo Vänskä, the dauntless Tetzlaff now turns to the very different challenge of a Schubert Club solo recital (with a Ysaÿe-Bach-Bartok program that would strike terror into the hearts of many colleagues), then ends his week performing Mozart and Enescu (the great Octet for Strings) with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. (Schubert Club: 8 p.m. Mon., Ted Mann Concert Hall, 2128 S. 4th St., Mpls. $12-$17, 651-292-3268 or www.schubert.org. SPCO: 7:30 p.m. Thu. at Temple Israel, 2324 Emerson Av. S., Mpls.; 8 p.m. Fri. at Wayzata Community Church, 125 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata, and 2 p.m. next Sun. at Benson Great Hall, 3900 Bethel Dr., Arden Hills, $10-$25. 651-291-1144, or www.thespco.org.)
