MUSIC IN THE PARK

Sunday: Minnesota Orchestra concertmaster Erin Keefe makes her Music in the Park series recital debut this weekend, along with pianist Anna Polonsky. They open the concert with the early Beethoven Sonata No. 3, Op. 12 No. 3, and continue with two Romantic works: Bedrich Smetana's "From My Homeland" and Richard Strauss' Sonata for Violin and Piano in E-flat Major, Op. 18. The program also includes Witold Lutoslawski's "Subito," one of the composer's last works, written in 1994, and "Valentines" by local favorite David Evan Thomas. This is an unfortunately rare opportunity to hear some of Keefe's sublime musicianship. (4 p.m. Sun. $20-$24. St. Anthony Park United Church of Christ, 2129 Commonwealth Av., St. Paul. 651-292-3268, www.schubert.org.)
