Holland has been ground zero for the historically informed performance (HIP) movement since its inception, and no Dutch HIPsters are more esteemed than baroque flutist Wilbert Hazelzet and baroque cellist Jaap ter Linden. Both are longtime collaborators of harpsichordist (and fellow Netherlander) Jacques Ogg, artistic director of the Lyra Baroque Orchestra, with whom they perform as the Dutch Masters Trio. And both are featured on Lyra's attractive "Music From the High Baroque" program, with sonatas by two Bachs (J.S. and J.C.F.) and concertos by Telemann and Michel Corrette.
