SONGS OF KURT WEILL AND SCHUBERT Thursday-Friday and next Sunday: Renowned male vocal ensemble Cantus joins the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra for a performance of Kurt Weill's decadent sung ballet "Seven Deadly Sins," his final collaboration with Bertolt Brecht. Kelley O'Connor plays the woman who is tempted, in music from opera to jazz to burlesque. The rest of the program, conducted by Mark Russell Smith (pictured), celebrates Schubert, including Cantus singing his setting of Goethe's "Song of the Spirits Over the Waters," and the orchestra playing his Symphony No. 2.
