Thursday: The Minnesota Orchestra's "Shakespeare Winterfest" concludes with Osmo Vänskä conducting Selections from Sibelius' "The Tempest." He leads his own arrangement of this suite in its first performances in Minnesota. Guthrie Director Joe Dowling narrates. Mezzo Heather Johnson, a White Bear Lake native who has sung with the Met and was with the Mill City Opera for "The Barber of Seville" in 2013, sings the role of the spirit Ariel, who helps conjure the play's titular storm. She opens the concert with Berlioz's evocative song cycle "Les Nuits d'été (Summer Nights)." (11 a.m. Thu., 8 p.m. Fri.-Sat. Ends Feb. 21; Orchestra Hall, 1111 Nicollet Mall, $29-$79, 612-371-5656, minnesotaorchestra.org)
