Broncos coach Gary Kubiak informed his players after their victory over Oakland on Sunday that he is stepping down one season after winning the Super Bowl, as the grind of coaching was taking too big of a toll on his health.

"In all honesty, I've struggled this year," said Kubiak, who has fought fatigue ever since suffering a complex migraine back in October.

Kubiak, 55, leaves with two years left on his contract and a 24-11 record in Denver. Including his eight seasons with Houston, his career head coaching record is 87-77.

"I'm glad we sent him off with a win," quarterback Trevor Siemian said.

The 24-6 victory over the Raiders was a bittersweet capstone to a disappointing season that began with expectations of repeating as Super Bowl champs and a 4-0 record, and ended without a trip to the playoffs and a 9-7 mark.

During his last year with the Texans, he collapsed on the field because of what was diagnosed as a mini-stroke. This year, he suffered the migraine Oct. 9 after a loss to Atlanta. He took a week off and had appeared in good health since his return.

It's an irony not lost on his players that Kubiak was so adroit at keeping players' bodies fresh for gameday but couldn't stay healthy himself.

"He understood our bodies, I think, better than any coach I've ever had," Denver cornerback Chris Harris Jr. said. "… That's one thing I loved the most."

49ers fire Baalke, Kelly

San Francisco fired General Manager Trent Baalke and coach Chip Kelly in the latest overhaul for a franchise that has fallen to the bottom of the standings.

Team CEO Jed York announced the moves hours after the 49ers finished a 2-14 season by losing to Seattle 25-23.

The team has been searching for success after cutting ties with Jim Harbaugh following the 2014 season. Jim Tomsula was fired after going 5-11 as coach in 2015. Things only got worse under Kelly, who was fired from Philadelphia last year.

Baalke confirmed his firing before Sunday's game. The former Bemidji State football player had been in charge of personnel for seven seasons.

McCoy out, too

San Diego fired coach Mike McCoy after the Chargers' loss to Kansas City.

McCoy went 28-38 in four seasons, including 5-11 this season, and has missed the playoffs each of the past three seasons.

The Chargers also have lost 13 of their past 14 AFC West games.

Etc.

• With 5,208 yards this season, New Orleans' Drew Brees became the first quarterback in league history to throw for 5,000 yards five times. His 471 completions this season set an NFL record.

• Arizona record-setting running back David Johnson left after hurting his left knee in the first quarter, but he appeared to be able to put weight on his leg on the sidelines in the second half.

• NFC South champion Atlanta saw another injury to its defense when rookie safety Keanu Neal suffered a concussion.

The "winners" have all been Turkeys, no matter the honor's name.

In this photo taken Monday, March 6, 2017, in San Francisco, released confidential files by The University of California of a sexual misconduct case, like this one against UC Santa Cruz Latin Studies professor Hector Perla is shown. Perla was accused of raping a student during a wine-tasting outing in June 2015. Some of the files are so heavily redacted that on many pages no words are visible. Perla is one of 113 UC employees found to have violated the system's sexual misconduct policies in rece
