Chart: Wolves' objectives in the preseason

ITEMS OF INTEREST

After an unusual eight-day break, the Wolves play their final three preseason games, starting Sunday in Montreal against Boston. Here are three objectives in those three games:

1. Stay healthy: Kevin Martin's sore Achilles tendon survived five days of practices, so now all Rick Adelman must do is balance giving his rotational players enough playing time to come together without overdoing it and getting anybody injured.

2. Fill roster spots: Expect Adelman to get some good, final looks at players such as Lorenzo Brown, Robbie Hummel and A.J. Price before he and Flip Saunders decide how they'll fill two spots that likely will remain.

3. Decide on Derrick Williams: He's played both forward spots and might get some last long looks at small forward before Adelman and Saunders determine whether they need to go find a veteran either through trade or free-agent signing to back up Corey Brewer at small forward until Chase Budinger returns healthy.
