Chart: The Wolves' busy schedule

Last week the Wolves played five games in seven nights, winning three. After two days off the team will embark on another five-in-seven stretch starting with Tuesday's game in Washington. To make things worse, both ends of two back-to-backs this week will be against rested teams, including a game in Houston on Saturday that will be against a Rockets team that has been off for two days. "I don't know if [the league schedule-makers] know that we're almost to Canada and Houston's almost all the way to Mexico," Adelman said Monday. Here is a look at the upcoming stretch of schedule, which includes two back-to-backs:

Tuesday at Washington: The Wizards, coached by former Wolves coach Randy Wittman, have struggled out of the gate 2-7, having lost four in a row. But the Wizards have talent, led by Bradley Beal and John Wall.

Wednesday vs. the Los Angeles Clippers: The Wolves get the high-scoring Clippers, third in the Western Conference, on the back end of a back-to-back. The Clippers, meanwhile, will be able to watch the Wolves play the Wizards in their Minneapolis hotel rooms.

Friday vs. Brooklyn: The Nets have started slowly, but are playing with great expectations after adding Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett to their roster.

Saturday at Houston: Houston was sixth in the West before Monday's games, and the Wolves will be playing on the back end of another back-to-back against a team that had two days' rest. It will be Dwight Howard's first game against the Wolves in a Rockets uniform.

Nov. 25 at Indiana: The Pacers, first in the Eastern Conference, started the season 9-0 before losing at Chicago on Saturday.
