Should they fall …

Expect the Wolves to snap up either of these players should they drop to the 13th pick:

• Creighton 6-8 senior forward Doug McDermott: A coach's kid and the draft's best shooter could go ninth to Charlotte.

• Michigan 6-6 sophomore shooting guard Nik Stauskas: Another pure shooter who vows he can do more than only that.

X factor

• Louisiana-Lafayette 6-4 point guard Elfrid Payton: Small-school product is draft's fastest riser who invites Damian Lillard comparisons, but will Wolves invest in another point guard?

Conundrum

• Croatia 6-10 power forward Dario Saric: Top-10 talent, but Wolves likely won't wait two years to get him out of Europe.

Other possibilities

• Kentucky swingman James Young

• Duke swingman Rodney Hood

• UCLA swingman Kyle Anderson

• D-League shooting guard P.J. Hairston
