All-Star Weekend

The Timberwolves have no representative just yet to play in the annual Sunday All-Star Game, held this season at Madison Square Garden in New York.

That doesn't mean they won't have a presence all week. They've placed a record four participants in Friday night's Rising Stars Challenge at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. Here are the particulars:

• Rookies Andrew Wiggins and Zach LaVine and sophomores Shabazz Muhammad and Gorgui Dieng will play the Rising Stars game that features first- and second-year players. The format has changed this year to a U.S. vs. the World thing, so LaVine and Muhammad are playing for the U.S. side and Wiggins and Dieng will play for the World team.

• LaVine will compete in All-Star Saturdays slam-dunk contest, which this year is featuring all new blood with first-timers Victor Oladipo, Mason Plumlee and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

TV highlights (TNT)

Friday: Rising Stars Challenge, 8 p.m.

Saturday: All-Star Saturday (including Slam Dunk contest), 6:30-10 p.m.

Sunday: All-Star Game, 7 p.m.
