Chart: Meet the All-Metro first team

An exciting player to watch, Vaughn earned his "Mr. Showtime" nickname this season, providing the offense and moves fans crave. He averaged 28.8 points per game and 10.2 rebounds. In a big-time moment, he scored 51 points while University of North Carolina representatives were on hand and 35 against Apple Valley and prized recruit Tyus Jones in the Timberwolves Shootout. Long-range sharpshooter showed he can play with Minnesota's best and doesn't miss much. Averaged 25.6 points per game with a 46.7 shooting percentage. Many of his shots might look low-percentage, but Macura said he's confident they're going in. Creativity shone when the Panthers took Apple Valley to overtime the first time and then scored 39 in their second meeting. College: undecided.

His size and strength are no longer all that defines him. Travis has developed the necessary skills to make him one of the best power forwards in the country and the Star Tribune's Metro Player of the Year. Impressive work ethic and leadership on a nationally ranked team that defeated two top-five teams in Class 4A. Nearly averages a double-double with 26.4 points per game and nine rebounds. College: undecided.

Last season's Metro Player of the Year is still considered one of the nation's best. He can lead, score, pass, set screens, defend and more when his team needs it most. Hasn't let national hype surrounding him get to his head. Missed games because of injuries this year, but bounced back to lead Apple Valley to the state tournament. Averaged 20.9 points (61.2 field-goal percentage) and 7.6 assists per game College: undecided.

Perhaps the state's most underrated talent. Hooker's senior year never had a letdown and kept Park Center atop the rankings most of the season. Led his team in handing Apple Valley its only defeat this year, and also ousting defending champion Osseo in the section finals. Natural scorer (25 points per game) who sacrifices some of that to get his team more involved. Averages 10 assists, nine rebounds and four steals per game. College: North Dakota.
