gotta get hot in the cold
Seven games remain for the Gophers in January:
Date Opponent Comment
Jan. 10 at Michigan (9-6, 2-1) Gophers will need to pull an upset to avoid an 0-4 start.
Jan. 13 Iowa (11-4, 2-0) Can’t start 0-2 at home, so they’ll need this one regardless of Mich.
Jan. 17 Rutgers (9-6, 1-1) Home games against bottom-tier teams are musts now.
Jan. 20 at Nebraska (8-6, 0-2) Terran Petteway had 35 vs. Gophers in Lincoln last year.
Jan. 24 Illinois (10-5, 0-2) February loss at home to Illini crushed 2013-14 Gophers.
Jan. 28 at Penn State (12-4, 0-3) The Nittany Lions are also off to an 0-3 start.
Jan. 31 vs. Nebraska If trip to Lincoln goes poorly, this becomes a high-pressure one.
