Conference play in the Big Ten begins in eight days. With that in mind, here's a rundown on the early part of the season:

One undefeated team: Michigan. The Wolverines have the second-best start in program history.
Before losing to Missouri on Saturday, Illinois was off to its best unbeaten start since 2005-06, when the Illini opened the year 15-0.
Four players have scored 30 or more points in a game: the Gophers' Andre Hollins (41), Illinois' Brandon Paul (35), Ohio State's Deshaun Thomas (31) and Iowa's Roy Devyn Marble (30).
