Media mogul Rupert Murdoch has announced his engagement to Jerry Hall, the American actress and former supermodel who had a longtime relationship with Mick Jagger. Murdoch, 84, and Hall, 59, placed a classified ad in the Births, Marriages and Deaths section of Tuesday’s Times newspaper, which is owned by Murdoch’s News Corporation.

Murdoch, the executive chairman of News Corporation, and Hall have been dating since late summer after being introduced by one of Murdoch’s sisters and his niece in his native Australia, the Times reported in a story posted online. They made their relationship public last fall when they appeared together at the Rugby World Cup Final in London and got engaged last weekend while attending the Golden Globes awards in Los Angeles.

“They have loved these past months together, are thrilled to be getting married and excited about their future,” a family spokesperson told the Times.

Murdoch has six children from his three previous marriages. He was married to Patricia Booker, an Australian, and then to Scottish-born journalist Anna Torv. He later married Chinese-born Wendi Deng, whom he divorced in 2013.

Buy Playboy Mansion, but Hef stays

For $200 million, the Playboy Mansion, where risqué parties have raged for decades, could be yours. But you might want to think twice if you’re aiming to buy the famous property that went on the market Monday and move in quickly, since Playboy magazine founder and party master Hugh Hefner, 89, has often said he will never live anywhere else. “A condition on the sale would be that Mr. Hefner be able to continue to work and live in the residence,” Playboy spokesman John Vlautin said. Negotiations between the seller and buyer would determine whether Heffner stays for free or rents the place back. The five-acre property in Los Angeles’ exclusive Holmby Hills features 29 rooms, game house, home theater, wine cellar, gym, tennis court, swimming pool and four-bedroom guesthouse.
