CBS kept up its winning ways, remaining the most-watched network for the 11th straight week, and Fox again could lay claim to the top duo of shows: the Wednesday and Tuesday editions of "American Idol."
The third-ranking show: ABC's Monday airing of "Dancing With the Stars."
And fourth was ABC's season finale of "Grey's Anatomy," which edged out CBS rivals in its Thursday time slot: the season finales of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (ranking seventh) and "CSI: NY" (in 15th place).
"Farrah's Story," documenting Farrah Fawcett's battle with cancer, drew 9 million viewers. But many viewers opted for CBS' escapist crime dramas: "Flashpoint" attracted 8.5 million viewers, and, airing against the documentary's second hour, "Numb3rs" won with 9.7 million viewers.
For the week, network averages were: CBS, 11.2 million prime-time viewers (6.9 household rating, 12 share); ABC, 9.4 million (6.0, 10); Fox, 9.0 million (5.3, 9); NBC, 6.4 million (4.2, 7); the CW 2.1 million (1.4, 2), My Network TV, 1.3 million (0.8, 1); and ION Television, 570,000 (0.4, 1). In the evening news raec: NBC's "Nightly News," 7.7 million viewers (5.1, 11); ABC's "World News," 7.1 million (4.9, 11); and "CBS Evening News," had 5.6 million (3.9, 8).
