Cleveland acquired Channing Frye from Orlando in exchange for Jared Cunningham and will send Anderson Varejao to Portland in a three-team deal at the NBA trading deadline Thursday.

The Cavs also sent a first-round pick to the Blazers in the deal and acquired a second-round pick from the Blazers, which will also go to the Magic.

Cunningham and Varejao are both expected to be waived, according to reports, but neither is eligible to return to the Cavs for one year under league rules.

Frye, 32, is averaging 5.2 points and 2.7 rebounds for the Magic. He is another stretch-4 who is shooting 40 percent from three-point range this season and he's a 39-percent shooter from deep in his career. He has two more years left on his contract.

Grizz send Green to Clips

The Grizzlies traded forward Jeff Green to the Clippers in exchange for guard Lance Stephenson.

Green has played 53 games with the Grizzlies this season and is averaging 12.2 points per game with 4.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists. Stephenson, a guard, has started 10 of his 43 games with the Clippers this season and is averaging 4.7 points per game.

Wizards get Morris

A week after scuffling with a teammate, forward Markieff Morris was traded by the free-falling Suns to the Wizards.

Phoenix received a first-round draft pick and forwards Kris Humphries and DeJuan Blair in exchange for the 6-foot-10, 245-pound Morris. Humphries, a former Hopkins High and Gophers star, is averaging 6.4 points and 4.1 rebounds this year.

Foye sent to Thunder

The Nuggets sent former Timberwolves shooting guard Randy Foye to the Thunder for guards Steve Novak and D.J. Augustin.Foye is averaging 6.0 points and 2.1 assists this season.

•The Rockets dealt forward/center Donatas Motiejunas and guard Marcus Thornton to Detroit in a three-team trade that also includes Philadelphia.Houston received a protected 2016 first-round pick from Detroit and the draft rights of forward Chukwudiebere Maduabum from the Sixers in the deal. The Rockets also sent Denver's second-round pick in 2017 to Philadelphia and the Sixers received center Joel Anthony from the Pistons.

•The Bulls traded Kirk Hinrich to the Hawks for a future second-round pick. In the deal, which is a three-team trade that includes the Jazz, the Bulls will get shooting guard Justin Holiday from the Hawks.

•The Jazz acquired backup point guard Shelvin Mack from Atlanta, sending the Hawks a second-round pick.

•Spurs assistant general manager Sean Marks is leaving San Antonio to become GM of the Nets.

Tiago Splitter won't be able to play for the home team at the Rio Olympics. The Hawks center said he will need eight months to recover from hip surgery.
