Campion, Bobek, Elmore and Scott Ekpe out, Smith questionable; Rogers out for season

The Gophers have a slew of new injury news.

WEST LAFAYETTE, IND. -- The injury news keeps getting worse for the Gophers, heading into Saturday's game at Purdue.

Running back Rodney Smith is questionable.

Update: Smith is on the field for warmups. Seems to be moving around OK.

Starting offensive linemen Josh Campion and Brian Bobek are not on the trip. Ben Lauer will start at left tackle, and true freshman Tyler Moore will be making his college debut at center.

Defensive linemen Scott Ekpe and Gaelin Elmore are out. Junior safety Ace Rogers is out for the season.

Defensive backs Damarius Travis and Briean Boddy-Calhoun are on the trip but won't play.

Update: Purdue's starting middle linebacker Ja'Whaun Bentley and backup QB Austin Appleby are both out.

Update: Gophers tight end Noah Scarver also is injured and not on the trip.
