Dani Cameranesi had a hat trick and Hannah Brandt became the program's all-time career assists leader as the No. 3 Gophers won 6-3 over Yale in nonconference women's hockey Friday night at Ridder Arena.

Cameranesi's linemates Brandt (one goal, two assists) and Sarah Potomak (1-2) also had three points each for the Gophers (12-1) while Kate Schipper had two assists.

With Brandt's second assist of the game, she surpassed Natalie Darwitz's total of 144 career assists and now has 145, which ranks fifth in NCAA history.

Two of Yale's three goals came on the power play as the Bulldogs (1-5-1) received goals from Courtney Pensavalle and Eden Murray, along with an even-strength tally by Phoebe Staenz.

Amanda Leveille finished with 14 saves for the Gophers; Hanna Mandl made 31 saves for the visitors.

Minnesota took a 3-0 lead before Yale got on the board in the 18th minute of the opening period.

Brandt also got her 15th goal of the season in the third period.
