Fox's "New Girl" is one of the most promising new network shows of the year, in large part because of star Zooey Deschanel. But save some of the accolades for creator Elizabeth Meriwether, who based the goofy lead character on her own life. She shared with us a favorite band's song that's currently giving her inspiration -- the Living Sisters' "Love to Live."

"Inara George -- who is married to Jake Kasdan, who directed our pilot -- is in this group called the Living Sisters. I find them really soothing. When I'm writing and it's 4 in the morning, I like to hear three women singing in harmony about mountains. You'd be surprised."
