Blaming Max problems, airline ends flights
Norwegian Air said it is ending trans-Atlantic service between Ireland and three U.S. and Canadian airports because the grounding of Boeing 737 Max aircraft makes the routes "no longer commercially viable." The Oslo-based carrier announced Tuesday its last flights to Ireland from Stewart Airport in New York's Hudson Valley and T.F. Green Airport in Providence, R.I., would be on Sept. 14. The airline said the decision reflects uncertainty about when or whether the troubled Boeing 737 Max will return to the air.

United sets earlier alcohol cut-off time
United Airlines is setting an earlier cut-off time when pilots must stop drinking alcohol before flights. The airline is telling pilots they must abstain from alcohol for 12 hours before flights, up from eight hours. The change in the rule comes after two United pilots were arrested in Scotland and charged with suspicion of being under the influence before a flight to the U.S.
