A pair of alleged burglars were busted Thursday after they butt-dialed 911.

According to the Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office, a dispatcher got a 911 call from a cellphone at 3:42 a.m. and could hear two men talking. Based on their conversation, she believed the men might be committing theft or burglary.

The dispatcher traced the call, and officers found two men hiding inside the Blue Earth County gun range. Investigators say the men broke into North Mankato Supply. They will likely be charged Friday with third-degree burglary.

The dispatcher monitored the cellphone for 34 minutes.

"You can't make that stuff up," Capt. Rich Murry said.
