Bristol Palin, who launched an abstinence campaign after giving birth as an unwed teenage mother, posted on Instagram Thursday that she gave birth to a girl, Sailor Grace, on Wednesday.
"Our family couldn't be more complete," she wrote beneath a photo of her and her sleeping baby in what appears to be a hospital bed.
It's the second child out of wedlock for the 25-year-old daughter of 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin.
Palin announced her second pregnancy on her blog in June. She has not publicly identified the father of that child, but announced she was pregnant shortly after her engagement to Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer was broken off last spring.
"I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you," she wrote on her blog at the time she announced her second pregnancy. She asked for privacy for her and her son, Tripp.
On Thursday, Meyer tweeted: "Best Christmas present ever!! I couldn't be more proud of this little blessing." He also posted a photo of a sleeping infant held by someone wearing a hospital gown with the same pattern as the one shown on Bristol Palin's Instagram post.
Janet Jackson postponing tour
Janet Jackson says she is postponing her "Unbreakable" tour to have an unspecified surgical procedure. The 49-year-old singer posted a message on her website and social media sites Thursday announcing that all future tour dates had been postponed until the spring. No new dates were announced. The singer's statement asked for prayers of support and said no further details on her medical condition would be disclosed. Jackson had been next scheduled to perform Jan. 9 in Denver.
On the Market: The star of the television series "Judge Judy" is trading her beachfront penthouse condo in Florida for a lakefront mansion nearby. Judge Judy Sheindlin and her husband bought the condo at the Windsor at Bay Colony in Naples for $6.9 million in 2005. The 8,550-square-foot condo now is listed for $11 million. The 16th-floor penthouse includes four bedrooms, six bathrooms, two private elevators and a sauna.
No. 1 spot: The National Health Service Choir has beaten Justin Bieber to capture Britain's official Christmas No. 1 song — and he's OK with that. The Canadian pop star's "Love Yourself" was ahead earlier this week — but Bieber tweeted that he wanted fans to "do the right thing" and boost the charity single to the coveted spot. The choir's "A Bridge Over You" finished nearly 31,000 copies ahead of Bieber.
