Teddy Bridgewater lofted three consecutive 35-yard throws and started running toward the locker room before the final ball found its target.

Bridgewater appeared ready to go about 90 minutes before kickoff of the first football game to be played inside a brand new U.S. Bank Stadium. And it included the franchise quarterback, who started against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.

Running back Adrian Peterson will not play, marking his fifth straight preseason without a carry. Also not playing are left tackle Matt Kalil (leg), cornerback Xavier Rhodes (hamstring), tight end Rhett Ellison (knee), defensive tackle Scott Crichton and safety Anthony Harris.

Second-year tackle T.J. Clemmings is expected to start at left tackle in front of Bridgewater, who was a surprise sit last week in Seattle due to shoulder soreness. Trae Waynes will likely start in place of Rhodes.

Expected to makepreseason debuts Sunday are guard Brandon Fusco, receiver Jarius Wright and linebacker Eric Kendricks. Fusco, who had been held back by a shoulder injury, reintroduces himself at right guard.
