Minnetonka rallies late, tops Wayzata in overtime• MINNETONKA 4, WAYZATA 3 (OT): Down two goals with five minutes remaining in the game, Class 2A, No. 2 Minnetonka wouldn't be denied Saturday afternoon. Late goals from senior Erik Baskin and junior Tommy Vannelli sent the game to overtime, then Baskin scored the game-winner 3 minutes, 33 seconds into the extra session to stun No. 10 Wayzata in the Lake Conference. Junior Paul Ciaccio had 19 saves in the victory for the Skippers. Seniors Kage Tille and Sam Majka each had a goal and an assist for Wayzata.
• BENILDE-ST MARGARET'S 6, TOTINO-GRACE 0: Senior Christian Horn and junior T.J. Moore each scored two goals as the Class 2A, No. 8 Benilde-St. Margaret's clinched the North Suburban Conference title outright with a victory over Class 1A, No. 6 Totino-Grace. Junior Grant Besse added three assists for the Red Knights, who pushed their conference record to a perfect 9-0.
• EDEN PRAIRIE 4, BUFFALO 2: Junior winger Andrew Knudsen scored a goal and added an assist to help Class 2A, No. 6 Eden Prairie to a hard-fought victory at Buffalo. Bison senior Brett Thomas tied the score at 2-2 only 25 seconds into the third period, but late goals from Knudsen and senior defenseman Chad Dahlquist sealed it for the Eagles.
• BLAKE 5, PROVIDENCE ACADEMY 2: A balanced attack helped Class 1A, No. 10 Blake cruise past Providence Academy in the Tri-Metro. Five players scored goals for the Bears, who built a 5-1 lead after two periods. Blake junior Christopher Chute recorded a goal and two assists, while senior Jack DeVries added three assists of his own. Junior Ryan Tapani had both goals for Providence Academy.

Hopkins advances to semis with shutout of WayzataCLASS 2A
• SECTION 6: Sophomore Nina Rodgers scored the game's only goal 1:11 into overtime to lift Hopkins to a 1-0 quarterfinal victory over Wayzata. Royals goalie Erin O'Neil, also a sophomore, had 31 saves in the shutout victory. ... No. 2 Benilde-St. Margaret's got off to a quick start in a commanding 11-0 quarterfinal victory over North Metro. Six players scored in the first period for the Red Knights, who went on to outshoot North metro 63-3. Senior Aly Hoffman had a hat trick and an assist for Benilde-St. Margaret's. ... Junior Katie Vatnsdahl had a goal and an assist for Buffalo, who built a 3-0 lead after two periods and held on for a 3-1 quarterfinal victory over Maple Grove. Senior goalie Taylor McKenney made 32 saves in the loss for the Crimson.
• SECTION 7: Senior Jonna Curtis and junior Cassey Petrich each had two goals and an assist to lead Elk River/Zimmerman to a 5-1 victory over Duluth in a semifinal. Senior goalie Tori Herrmann finished with 20 saves for Elk River/Zimmerman.

DeLaSalle rallies to win• DELASALLE 73, MINNEHAHA ACADEMY 67: Junior guard Alina Starr led DeLaSalle with 26 points and senior Mariah Adanene added 20 to lead the Class 3A, No. 1 Islanders in a come-from-behind victory. Senior Gabbi Stienstra scored a season-high 26 points for Minnehaha Academy, which led 34-30 at the half. Junior Nicole Nipper added 21 points for the Redhawks, while DeLaSalle got 17 from senior Mia Loyd.
