The Lynx will hold a block party on Target Plaza from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Sunday before the first game of the WNBA finals.

The Lynx play Atlanta at 7:30 p.m. Urban Myth will provide the music. The Twin Cities band plays classic rock, funk, current pop and R&B.

"We're thrilled with the opportunity to provide Lynx fans with a block party before Game 1 of the 2011 WNBA Finals," a Lynx news released quotes Conrad Smith, Lynx chief operating officer, as saying. "Lynx fans are the best in the WNBA and I know that they will be ready to kick off the festivities of the WNBA Finals early Sunday evening at the block party and carry that energy into Target Center at game time."

Upper level tickets, costing as low as $15, still remain for Game 1.
