Malcolm Hill scored 10 of his 32 points from the free throw line in the third overtime as Illinois outlasted Rutgers 110-101 on Wednesday night in Piscataway, N.J., extending the Scarlet Knights' losing streak to 10 games.

Hill also had 14 rebounds as the Illini (11-12, 3-7 Big Ten) rallied after blowing a seven-point lead in the final 29.2 seconds of the first overtime.

Jalen Coleman-Lands had 26 points and Maverick Morgan 20.

Corey Sanders had career highs of 39 points and 12 assists for Rutgers (6-17, 0-10), but he missed a free throw with 3.3 seconds to play in regulation that would have put the Scarlet Knights ahead.

Rutgers has now lost its past 24 regular-season conference games dating to a win over Wisconsin on Jan. 11, 2015.

No. 5 Iowa 73, Penn State 49: Jarrod Uthoff scored 14 points and Adam Woodbury had a career-high 15 rebounds to help No. 5 Iowa roll past Penn State 73-49 on Wednesday night.

Peter Jok and Anthony Clemmons each had 12 points for the Hawkeyes (18-4, 9-1 Big Ten), who won their 15th consecutive home game.

Iowa shot 46 percent from the field, Penn State 30 percent.

Brandon Taylor had 15 points and 11 rebounds for Penn State (11-12, 2-8), which made only one three-pointer in 20 attempts.

The Hawkeyes have won by double figures in eight of their nine conference wins.

Iowa opened the game on a 14-4 run. Later, Uthoff hit a three-pointer with five minutes left in the first half to put Iowa up by 12 points. Penn State didn't get any closer.

Dom Uhl finished the first half with a two-handed putback dunk off his own missed floater to give the Hawkeyes a 45-26 lead.

The Hawkeyes had 13 fastbreak points and didn't allow any. Iowa's bench outscored Penn State 28-14.
