Big Ten announces times for five Gophers football games

Minnesota will open the season at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30 against New Mexico State.

The Big Ten on Thursday announced starting times for five Gophers home games for the 2018 season.

Minnesota will open its season Thursday, Aug. 30, against New Mexico State at 6 p.m. on BTN. On Sept. 8, the Gophers play host to Fresno State at 6:30 p.m. on FS1. The nonconference schedule concludes with a 2:30 p.m. home game against Miami (Ohio) on BTN.

The Oct. 6 homecoming game against Iowa will be at 2:30 or 3 p.m., with TV to be determined. On Friday, Oct. 26, the Gophers play host to Indiana at 7 p.m. on FS1.

The times and TV for Minnesota's other two home games – Nov. 10 vs. Purdue and Nov. 17 vs. Northwestern – will be announced later, as will the times for the Gophers' five road games.
