Big day of boys' hoops on tap Saturday

Minnetonka will host the Breakdown Tip-off Classic on Saturday.

A preview of the boys' basketball season will be posted here sometime this evening, and I wanted to add some details to one of the items mentioned in that preview: The Breakdown Tip-Off Classic, which will be held Saturday at Minnetonka High School.

It's a good chance to see some of the state's top teams, from several classes, gathered in one place. Twelve games will be held on two courts between 9:45 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. or so. Here's the schedule:

West Gym

9:45/ Sebeka vs. New London-Spicer

11:30/ Minneapolis North vs. Plainview-Elgin-Millville

1:15/ Minnetonka vs. Braham (girls)

3:00/ Lakeville South vs. Benilde-St. Margaret's
