A St. Thomas-St. John's match-up is set for one of the two opening-round games of the MIAC baseball playoffs Thursday night. The teams will play in Cold Spring at 7 p.m. while No. 1 seed Bethel plays Macalester, which held off Concordia to qualify for the final spot, at Collegville.
Bethel and St. Thomas tied for the conference title with 16-4 records.
Winners and losers of those games will play at 3 p.m. Friday in the double-elimination tournament, which is scheduled to conclude Saturday.
The tournament winner gets an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III tournament.
