For the most part, the Twin Cities wine-bar scene has been geared toward providing a comfy-cozy neighborhood spot for dates or a girls’ night out. The wine enthusiast usually can find interesting offerings, but not much “discovery.” Not so at Sunfish Cellars. The flights change often but always have some hard-to-find, fun-to-explore options from no-telling-where. This is also one of the only places around with the Coravin, a new device that can get inside a spendy bottle for a pour, then reseal the cork and wax for later reuse. For teetotalers, the food menu, crafted by iconic chef Ken Goff, is worth the trip. 803 Sibley Memorial Hwy. (Hwy. 13), Lilydale; 651-552-5955; sunfishcellars.com
