It's been a long time since attending a literary event necessitated sitting quietly, listening to someone read. These days, you can drink! And listen to music! And — box! The 2012 launch of Revolver magazine took place at Uppercut Boxing Gym in northeast Minneapolis, with four literary types "duking it out" in the boxing ring. Their subsequent "Write Fight" event involved writers producing work on the spot, competitively, as did "Revolver at the Ritz." The magazine is fun, fresh and hip, but the literary events? Even more so. around-around.com
