Bébé Babble launches new label A new private-label line, available exclusively at Bébé Babble (3904 Sunnyside Rd., Edina, 952-922-2020) and online (www.bebebabble.com), features bright patterned dresses, tops and skirts for girls. The designer is Kendra Lewis, owner of the 3 1/2-year old boutique and mother of Gabriel (age 4 1/2). Lewis previously worked at Target in product development.
"The global world is the new modern influence in interiors, homes and fashion," she said. Japan provided the inspiration for her signature Keiko ("adored one") dress, which features kimono-style sleeves and sash belt. Next up will be a spring collection featuring Liberty prints and possible distribution in small boutiques nationwide. Prices range from $49 for a skirt to $140 for the Keiko.
Get the first glimpse of the line tonight at Girls' Night Out in the Garden, a shopping and food party featuring local lines such as LiveSavvy Headbands, Elin & Clara, Naptime Treasures, Hadibel, Renee Larson jewelry, Uff'daa Wear, Annie Bananie Junk Art, Jeanne Beatrice market baskets and Bébé Babble. The event runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Kenwood Isles Deli, 2115 W. 21st St., Mpls. The first 75 attendees score gift bags.
