Beachy keen (and cheap)

Anyone who's seriously tried to adopt an across-the-board, environmentally friendly shopping policy knows that good intentions can get expensive. But not always. The new Loomstate for Target summer-casual line was launched Sunday, just in time for Earth Day (Wednesday).

Ranging in price from $15 to $50, the youth-focused line is made of 100 percent certified organic cotton. In many cases, low prices equal iffy fabrics, but these tees are baby-cheek soft.

The line marks designer Rogan Gregory's second round with Target, this time joined by Scott Mackinlay Hahn. Unlike many of Target's designer collaborations, this one has some choices for the boys, as well. Above, the owl-print tee ($17) is paired with a worn-look denim mini ($30). At left, the "Breathe" tee ($18) is shown with pelican print board shorts ($30).
